School Supplies to Kalkaska for Outreach

Img591 Img592We met Ron and Jen Janiszewski, pastors at Kalkaska, at Birch Run today.  We took up all the school supplies that BCC collected for their outreach to their community next week. Their van was almost dragging.  We took up a 15 cases of boxed juice also.  I was so blessed by their heart for the community, and heart for God.  I love investing into people you know are impacting the world for the Kingdom of God.  They are a blessing and really wanted our church body to know how thankful they are!

Gremlin Love

GremlinI wish this picture was true. This is a new concept car for the Gremlin, the best car ever made.  I loved all 4 of them that I owned.  I am going to start a letter writing campaign so they will bring the Big "G" back.  Unfortunaley I don't know where to send it since AMC went under.

I would really get some tickets if I was back in the seat of this amazing Machine.

It is spiritual to pray they start making them again?  I believe there is a market for the AMC Gremlin, and the Hornet for that matter.

Rewind

Rewind Our kids all came home from Elijah camp, tired and happy.  Abby had one day home and left Sunday morning with the youth ministry for Charlotte, NC for missions outreach and National Youth Convention.  We had a great team go.  Sunday morning was really incredible.  I had people stand after speaking on "The Gospel and Freedom" out of John 8, and give a testimony of what God has set them free from. Both services there was just a powerful presense of God's power and faith as people spoke.  I believe many people were set free.  If you were not there or want to check out the the message, got to ITUNES, or the BCC webite to hear it.

Sunday night I went and spoke at St. Michael's at their Ice Cream social. I spoke about the importance of youth and children's minsitry.  What a great group of people hungry to touch a generation for Christ! I was impressed.  I met an old wrestling aquaintence there too.  I got home last night, hung out with the family, hit the sack and got up this morning at 5 am to play racquetball. (I got schooled).  Tonight I will be speakin at Everfree youth.

Do We Really Believe?

Life I have been thinking a lot about faith lately.  In staff devotions Wednesday we read Hebrews 11:1,2, "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction (evidence)  of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval."  Quite simpy, faith is being sure of what is unseen.  We can say we intellectually believe something, but if our life does not match that belief, I believe, we really don't believe that at all.  There are many people who go to church, say they have a belief in God, but their lives do not match their beliefs.  So do they really believe these things?  If faith is the "evidence" or the "conviction" of the things not seen, then faith ought to be seen by our lives because we live them with conviction, evidence of our faith, and assurance.   Faith in Christ is not just another activity in our life like, golfing, swimming, or watching TV.  Faith in Christ is our life, and this faith needs to be seen IN our lives by our decisions, our character, our choices, our spending, our relationships, our scheduling, and our convictions.  I want to be a person that consistently lives my faith.  I want Christ to be my life, not a part of my life, or some ideology stuffed in my brain.  Our faith in Christ must be our lives!

A Great Life!

What a great report from the Haiti team at BCC last night.  I was blessed and moved.  It has been a little lonely around the Elarton house with all the kids at Elijah camp. In fact, we have around 40 people at camp with campers and leaders.  Mike and Holly do a great job directing it.  We have been busy redoing the boys room while they are gone in the evening.  With being at the church 12+ hours yesterday, I didn't get any painting done.  I have had a lot of appointments.  Today I did a radio show and a couple meetings after pastor's prayer at 8:30 am.    We are working hard for all the good stuff coming in September.  I have prep yet for Sunday. Friday is my dad's birthday, we will head to Morenci on Saturday to see my folks and take dad a cake.   As well as speaking at BCC on "The Gospel and Freedom"   I will be sharing at St. Michael's Lutheran church in Ottawa Lake at their ice cream social in the evening.  Next week is so packed already.  God is opening so many doors and opportunities for ministry.  I wish I had 50 hours a day, but God is raising up a lot more people to get involved.  Being in full-time vocational ministry is a blessing!!  Gotta hit the road.  Later
